Carmen Sandiego is back in her first game since 2015’s Carmen Sandiego Returns. For the first time in franchise history, you’ll play as the super thief, instead of those pursuing her, in a reimagined new game simply called Carmen Sandiego. However, Sandiego has given up a life of crime and works as a counter-thief, tracking down V.I.L.E. operatives across the globe. The game takes style and plot cues from the Netflix animated show, which started in 2019. As for the gameplay, you’ll control Sandiego herself, utilizing gadgets like a hang-glider and grappling hook to get around. Carmen Sandiego appears to have a more 3D-platformer flavor than the original games. The trailer shows Sandiego pickpocketing a man, so there may be some stealth elements. As you obtain clues and information, you can identify and capture V.I.L.E. operatives. How much “edutainment” will be a part of the game remains to be seen. However, you will explore many locations across the world. Confirmed locals include Iceland, Ghana, Egypt, India, Japan, and Australia.Carmen Sandiego has no release date yet–just a window of Q1 2025. When it drops, it will release on PC, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, Playstation, and …

In Astro Bot, there are 300 bots to find, including 169 cameo bots, as well as dozens of puzzle pieces and several secret Void levels hidden within the game. Normally, a game like this would be quite a chore for players seeking to polish off all of its optional items to 100% completion, but Astro Bot offers a special tool that makes this process much faster and more enjoyable. Here’s what you need to know.
Astro Bot – All secrets and collectible locations
Astro Bot’s lengthy list of optional secrets to find is made incredibly easy–hopefully in a way that transforms the genre–thanks to its robot bird companion. Each time you complete a level and have collectibles like hidden bots or puzzle pieces still undiscovered, jump back into the level whenever you’d like to.
There, you’ll find right at the start of a level a peculiar item that wasn’t there before: a birdhouse encased in domed glass. It reads 200 on the bottom, whic…
Among Batman villains, The Penguin isn’t necessarily the most dangerous or the strongest adversary that the Dark Knight has ever faced. But Oswald “Oz” Cobblepott should never be underestimated, because his intellect and his ruthless streak have taken him pretty far in the criminal underworld. And in the latest promo for HBO’s The Penguin, Oz is ready to declare himself the new Kingpin of Gotham City. Colin Farrell is reprising his role from The Batman, but for this series, Oswald’s last name has been shortened to Cobb. The show takes place roughly a week after the film, which left Carmine Falcone dead and the criminal underworld in disarray. That gives Oz the perfect opportunity to fill the power vacuum left behind by his late boss.Naturally, some of the other criminals in town aren’t going to simply accept Oz’s accession to the top. However, his greatest rival may be Carmine’s daughter, Sofia Falcone (Cristin Milioti), a mentally disturbed woman who wants to take her father’s crown for herself. Sofia presents herself to Oz as an ally in this teaser, but that alliance isn’t likely to last very long.Robert Pattinson’s Batman will not be making an appearance on this show, b…

As people are discovering, the PlayStation 30th Anniversary imagery released today, September 5, seems to include an image of some kind of product that matches up with a leaked design for the rumored PS5 Pro.As you can see in the image below, the rectangle with lines painted across it could be the design of the PS5 Pro. It aligns with an image revealed first by Dealabs at the end of August, purporting to be the look of the console. Take a look for yourself in the image below, as shared by Wario64 on social media.
As people are pointing out, PS5 Pro design may have been revealed through the PlayStation 30th Anniversary image

This is very far from confirmation that it’s a first look at the PS5 Pro, so for now, take this information with a grain of salt. PlayStation’s 30th anniversary blog post teases “more to come,” so that could be a referen…

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 arrives on October 25, and after a four-year development time, Treyarch has finally revealed multiplayer and the new Warzone map called Area 99. GameSpot was able to get hands-on with Black Ops 6 during Activision’s Call of Duty: Next event, which featured multiplayer and the next Warzone map. Black Ops 6 feels very polished with new action star movement that is a blast to use, but I do worry that it won’t take long for high-skilled players to exploit the system and ruin the fun.
Movement for action-hero plays
Black Ops 6 definitely feels like a Black Ops game with its fast-paced action, arcade style, and vibrant maps. The biggest difference this year is Treyarch’s new movement system, which further adapts the fluidity and pace of the typical Black Ops multiplayer experience.

In September 1994, the Entertainment Software Rating Board officially began rating video games in North America, a practice which it continues to this day. Although the ESRB’s 30th anniversary won’t officially arrive until September 16, its employees have decided to celebrate a few weeks early by releasing a new song, E is for Everyone, which playfully explains the purpose of its game ratings. As related on the ESRB’s official site, this song was inspired by the educational tunes from the Schoolhouse Rock animated show of the ’70s and ’80s. Presumably the animated singers in this video are based on real people who work for the ESRB, but the video doesn’t credit them by name. The lyrics of the song also explain how the rating process unfolds, the four major ratings, as well as the enforcement of the Advertising Review Council’s regulations for displaying the ratings in game ads.The only thing that the song doesn’t touch upon are the circumstances that forced the video game companies to utilize the ESRB in the first place. In 1993, opportunistic politicians capitalized on titles like Mortal Kombat and Night Trap to whip up the public into a frenzy about games with explicit o…
