There are huge, open-world environments to explore in Star Wars Outlaws. Naturally, you don’t want to roam around on foot. The good news is that you’ve got a “trusty” vehicle with you–well, okay, it does have a few issues. Here’s our guide on how to upgrade your speeder in Star Wars Outlaws.
How to upgrade your speeder in Star Wars Outlaws
The Star Wars Outlaws speeder is a vehicle that you gain access to the moment you crash land on the planet of Toshara. Upon exiting your ship, the Trailblazer, you have to fend off several bandits while protecting a mechanic named Waka. From there, you can drive across rugged terrain on your speeder until you reach the city of Mirogana, which is where you’ll find the next main objective related to the campaign.Speeder upgrades are handled by NPCs, such as Valith Nuulvys In Mirogana and Trellem Hobarchi in Jaunta’s Hope. Other settlements also have their own respective mechanics. Just remember to have the necessary materials to complete the upgrade process.
Fishing is one of the five main skills in Stardew Valley and an excellent way to make some money. However, the fishing minigame involves a bit of skill and the type of fish you can catch changes each season. Combine that with a few different fishing locations, bait, and tackle, and the fishing can become a bit overwhelming. Here’s everything you need to know about fishing.
How to fish
Using a fishing rod, you can cast it into a body of water by holding the action button to determine cast strength. Once the bobber is in the water, you need to hit the action button again when an exclamation point appears, which will hook your catch. If it was a fish biting your line, this will start the fishing minigame. The fishing minigame puts a fish icon on a large bar, moving sporadically up and down the bar. You need to keep your g…
Researchers discovered that the polymer material hydrogel can play and improve its gameplay experience by playing the prolific video game Pong.As reported in the findings from the Cell Press journal, scientists were able to hook up non-living hydrogels with electrical stimulation in a virtual video game environment. This then allowed the non-living hydrogel to improve its gameplay by up to 10% with practice and was even able to create longer rallies between the paddles alongside an increased hit rate. It took 20 minutes for the hydrogel to reach its maximum “Pong potential,” the journal states.”We showed that hydrogels are not only able to play Pong; they can actually get better at it over time,” said first author and robotics engineer Vincent Strong from the University of Reading.More research is still needed, but the researchers said that this showcases the ability of non-living materials–hydrogel in this case–to use memory to update the hydrogel’s understanding of its immediate environment. This latest study and research were inspired by the testing from a few years ago on a dish of brain cells that were taught to play Pong.Absolutely Real Science Every Terminator Fan Should Kn…
After decades of trying to get Megalopolis made, director Francis Ford Coppola put up $120 million of his own money for the film. But the promotional campaign is off to a rocky start after the trailer was pulled by Lionsgate because fans discovered that it quoted fake reviews for Coppola’s earlier movies.Megalopolis was already facing bad buzz after its festival screenings. The trailer seemed like it was designed to counter that by quoting contemporary negative reviews for The Godfather, Apocalypse Now, and Bram Stoker’s Dracula. The implication was that critics were wrong about these classics, and also wrong about Megalopolis. However, it didn’t take long for people to realize that the reviews in question weren’t real.Via Variety, a Lionsgate spokesperson said, “We offer our sincere apologies to the critics involved and to Francis Ford Coppola and American Zoetrope for this inexcusable error in our vetting process. We screwed up. We are sorry.”It’s not entirely clear how the fake reviews were put together. Roger Ebert’s quote, attributed to his Dracula review, was actually pulled from his review for Tim Burton’s Batman. Additionally, New York Times tech reporter Mike Isaac discove…
With Steam Deck becoming more and more popular, Valve has released a new feature that informs other players if a review left on a game’s Steam page was primarily played on the handheld. The announcement was made on the official Steam Deck X/Twitter account. Going forward, users will know if a reviewer’s platform of choice is the Steam Deck. If the game was “primarily” played on Deck, an icon will denote that.
Good morning! We’ve just shipped a new feature on Steam that shows when a customer review was written by someone who played primarily on Steam Deck. Keep an eye out for the Deck icon to see how these players reviewed the game, and let us know what you think! pic.twitter.com/RYVa9wVGYi — Steam Deck (@OnDeck) August 22, 2024
This is particularly helpful because some games do run better on Steam Deck than others. This feature should help users to get some sense about whether those having a positive or negative experience did so while playing on the handheld. This complements the existing system that labels games as Verified, Playable, Unsupported, or Unknown, wh…
At Gamescom this week, Fable creator Peter Molyneux revealed his next game–Masters of Albion–and he now says it could be his last. In an interview, Molyneux said he expects to be in his late ’60s when Masters of Albion is done, and if he were to make another game, he would be in his mid-70s.Molyneux told GI.biz he’s not guaranteed to live that long. “My life expectancy is measured in days rather than years because of my lifestyle. I smoke and drink and don’t sleep enough,” he said. “So if this is going to be my last game, what should it be? And the first thing that occurred to me is that I wanted to go home. I wanted to come back to PC and console, and make a game for gamers.”Molyneux runs the independent studio 22cans, which created mobile games like The Trail and Godus. He said he “got disillusioned with mobile,” in part because of how mobile game development requires developers to stick to a specific formula to make money, according to Molyneux.”I started to ask… what should I focus on? I was 60 at the time and this realization came to me that this next game could be my last. I am not announcing I’m retiring. I’ll be found dead one morning with my head pressed against the ke…
